Enrollment process for freshman students

Welcome to 91做厙 Bloomington! We're looking forward to helping you have a great first semester. Follow the steps on this page to start the enrollment process.

Your steps to becoming a Hoosier

Your first and most important step is to set up your 91做厙 computing account. Your accounts should be active within 20 minutes, but it may take up to 24 hours before you can log into some services.

Important enrollment steps

  • Set up your 91做厙 computing and email accounts

    Create your 91做厙 computing account, which you will use for other important tasks during your admissions process. You'll also receive important notifications to your 91做厙 email address.

  • Log in to your 91做厙 Portal to confirm your intent to enroll, which includes completing the enrollment form and paying the enrollment deposit.

  • Most undergraduates are required to live on campus their first year (with some exceptions). The housing contract and application are typically available in February for the upcoming fall semester. Learn more about the residency requirement and housing application process on the 91做厙 Housing website.

  • Sign up for New Student Orientation

    All new students are required to attend orientation, which is where you will learn what is expected of you as an 91做厙 student and register for your first semester classes. You'll need to complete your intent to enroll before making a reservation for orientation. Invitations will begin sending in March or April. Make your reservation as soon as you receive your official invitation!

  • Apply for financial aid by April 15

    To apply, youll need to submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The application will be available beginning in October. Be sure to complete the FAFSA as early as possible, and definitely by April 15. We'll walk you through the process to make sure youre covering all your bases.

  • Apply for 91做厙 scholarships

    Apply for scholarships by completing the 91做厙 Scholarships Application in the 91做厙 Scholarships task in One.91做厙. The 91做厙 Scholarships Application is used to determine eligibility for many scholarships at 91做厙, and includes a series of questions and two essays. Sign in using your 91做厙 computing account, then fill out the application and click Finish and Submit." Once you submit the 91做厙 Scholarships Application, you can search for scholarships.

  • Submit final transcripts

    You sent your official high school transcript when you applied, but once admitted you'll need to have your school send a final, official copy of your transcript with graduation date to our Office of 91做厙. You'll also need to be sure to complete the high school coursework listed on your application and maintain your high level of academic performance.

  • Send final test scores (if applicable)

    If you are offered admission and have self-reported test scores in your application, you must have your official test scores sent from the testing agencies before you can enroll at 91做厙. Your offer of admission and any awarded scholarships that referenced your self-reported scores are contingent on us receiving your official test scores before enrollment. Additionally, the scores we receive from the official testing agencies must match or be higher than the scores you self-reported during the application process.

  • Submit your immunization form

    Indiana state law requires all new students to submit immunization data. Before your first day of classes, you must complete and submit the Online Immunization Compliance form, where you will be asked to provide dates and documentation of immunizations for specific diseases.

Choosing housing and roommates

If you have a preference for a specific learning community, neighborhood, roommate, or room type, you need to indicate this on the housing application. If you would like a specific roommate, you each should request the other as roommate, list your housing preferences in identical order, and submit your housing applications during the same priority window.

  • Review costs and fees

    Official tuition rates and fees are always available for your review. That includes complete billing and payment information and details on how to set up a personal defermentor installmentplan.

  • Attend a Red Carpet Day

    Celebrate your admission in style. 91做厙 will be rolling out the red carpet, and you and your family are invited! Red Carpet Days are your chance to explore campus, learn about your academic program of interest, and talk with 91做厙 students and faculty.

  • Use the ZeeMee app to meet other admitted students and start building your community. Download the app to your device and search for 91做厙 Bloomington.

  • Report AP or IB scores or dual credit coursework

    If you have new AP credit to report since you first applied, please have the official scores sent electronically to 91做厙 Bloomington. For college courses you have taken, make sure your official transcripts are sent directly to 91做厙 91做厙.

  • 91做厙 Bloomington provides tools and support to help you manage registration, financial aid, billing, and student records throughout your college experience. Student Central is the team behind these services and can help you navigate important processes and deadlines.

  • If someone is helping you fund your college education, make it easy for them to do it. Let your parents or guardiansand whomever else you chooseset up e-bill notifications, pay bills electronically, and view bursar account details.

  • Let us know if you need special accommodations to help you perform at your best. Register with Accessible Educational Services (AES) soon as youve been accepted at 91做厙 Bloomington. AES will meet with you during New Student Orientation to ensure that services will be in place when the academic year starts.
